Abstract
AbstractTesticular feminisation is a well recognized syndrome of female phenotype with male karyotype and gonads. Adnexal cysts have been reported in patients with this syndrome although usually only in those aged more than thirty years. An unusual case is reported where a young patient (age 20) presented with abdominal pain from a large adnexal cyst. Ultrasound examination facilitated the diagnosis by confirming the cystic nature of the mass and failing to demonstrate normal Mullerian elements in the pelvis.
