Abstract

The Child and Adolescent Memory Profile (ChAMP) is a recently designed memory test for children and young adults aged 5 through 21 years. The measure includes verbal and visual memory tasks, focusing on episodic, semantic, and other context-dependent memory. The current article explores the ChAMP, its underlying theoretical framework, and its structure. The advantages are discussed, including its brief administration time and under-reliance on other cognitive skills, and its drawbacks, such as its sometimes monotonous administration and concerns with online scoring.
