Abstract

A mathematical model has been developed for the prediction of the collection efficiency of submicron particles in the conduit type scrubber. A pilot scale plant has been used for testing the mathematical model. Submicron particles have been generated by spraying solution of Methylen Blue. The distribution of particles has been measured by an Electrical Aerosol Size Analyzer. The model has been tested by the experimental data and good agreement between predicted values and experimental data have been observed.
