Abstract

Based on carbon fiber, extruded polystyrene foam (XPS), ethylene vinyl acetate plastic foam (EVA), and other materials, a lightweight fitting device is designed. Its mechanical properties are tested and simulated. The experimental results and simulation are consistent. The adaptive device adopts a lightweight design, and the single piece weight is less than 30 kg. The final height of the adaptive device can be changed through manual stacking and combination to meet different application scenarios. The adaptive device also adopts a modular design, which separates the bearing function from the adaptive function. The bearing module meets the bearing demand, while the adaptive module has good deformation capacity. The device can be repeatedly used for the safe and fast transfer of heavy equipment.
