JUNGMANN In southeastern Kansas, in the area bounded to the west by the Flint Hills and to the north by the Marais des Cygnes drainage basin, Neogene terraces in the valleys of the Neosho and Marais des Cygnes Rivers have been studied in great detail (Fig. 1).
