Abstract

Phytochemical study on the Microlepia strigosa (Thunb.) C. Presl resulted in the isolation of fifteen terpenoids, which contains thirteen pterosin-type sesquiterpenoids (1–13), one isopimarane-type diterpenoid (14) and one lupane-type triterpenoid (15). Structure elucidation of these compounds was performed according to chemical and spectral analyses. This is the first report of compounds (2S)-pterosin A (4), pterosin I (6), pterosin Z (7), creticolacton A (8), (2R,3S)-acetylpterosin C (9), pterosin N (10), (2R)-pterosin B (11), pterosin G (12), pterosin O (13), 3α,7β-dihydroxy-ent-iospimara-8(14),15-diene (14) and 3β,11α-28-trihydroxy-29-nor-lupan-20-one (15) from M. strigosa, of compounds 10–13 from the genus Microlepia, and of compounds 8–9 from the family Dennstaedtiaceae. Meanwhile, the chemotaxonomic significance of these isolates was presented.
