Abstract

(Liquid+liquid) equilibria data of the (water+1-propanol+dimethyl carbonate) system at T=(293.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15)K and (water+1-propanol+diethyl carbonate) system at T=(293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15)K were measured under ambient pressure. The experimental results were correlated with the modified and extended UNIQUAC models. The reliability of the experimental tie-line data was tested through the Othmer–Tobias correlation equation. Distribution coefficients of dimethyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate were calculated from the experimental tie-line data and drawn. The temperature influence on liquid-phase equilibria was studied.
