Abstract

The concentration dependence of the mutual diffusion coefficients in the ternary liquid mixture glycerol + acetone + water is determined at 298.15 K by the Taylor dispersion technique. As a continuation of previous measurements, we selected three concentration paths of a constant water mole fraction of x3 = 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3, respectively, ranging from the limit of the binary subsystem toward the phase boundary in the ternary system. The eigenvalues and the determinant of Fick's diffusion coefficient matrix are given.
