Abstract

Ternary radical copolymerization of diallyl and vinyl monomers with sulfur dioxide was studied. High activity of sulfur dioxide in formation of donor-acceptor complexes with unsaturated compounds allows diallyl compounds, which are weakly active under the conditions of radical initiation, to be involved in copolymerization with vinyl monomers to give ternary copolymers containing various functional groups.
