Abstract

AbstractPurpose: The article is devoted to some features of a psychologo - linguistic examination in respect of use in her framework of terminological units, of terms neologisms in particular.Design/Methodology/Approach: About 200 terminological units of the legal, psychological and linguistic fields, commonly used words, their scientific definitions and definitions served as material for the research. Research methods include the method of continuous sampling of terminological units and units of commonly used vocabulary, the method of comparative analysis of terms and commonly used lexes based on the material of the modern Russian language, the method of definition analysis, the method of etymological analysis, methods of quantitative and statistical analysis.Findings: The work analyses the main aspects of psychological and linguistic expertise, as well as the key terms used in this process. Correlation of legal and linguistic terms from the perspective of cognitive termology is evaluated.Originality/Value: The authors conclude that at present there is no single terminology base for unambiguous understanding of the terminology units used within the framework of psychological and linguistic expertise, the use of expert methods, there is no clear correlation between linguistic, psychological and legal terms; terms-neologisms introduced into legal practice and the field of expert science lack a clear, correctly constructed definition.
