Abstract
We investigate the time of the order parameter Φ in the new inflationary universe scenario taking account of thermal effects on the friction term in the equation for Φ as well as effects of particle creations. It is shown that Φ can appropriately settle down at the physical SU(3)×SU(2)×U(1) minimum for a suitable range of the masses of the five-dimensional Higgs and the heaviest quark.
