Abstract
We propose a multilayer “H” type cell structure to construct a vortex beam metasurface generator. Based on the Pancharatnam-Berry phase theory, we propose a uniform annular arrangement to achieve a vortex beam with high transmission efficiency. At 0.1 THz frequency, the transmission efficiency reaches 62%. We further utilized printed circuit board technology to prepare samples of vortex beam generators. Using a self-built terahertz test platform, we tested the transmission beam intensity distribution characteristics of the sample. The metasurface vortex beam generator can realize the miniaturization and integration characteristics of the device, and is expected to be applied to the field of terahertz communication.
