For the validity of the instruments; in terms of language, content and construct validity exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were used. For the relability of the instruments; cronbach coefficient alpha was calculated as a measure of internal consistency. Results: The reliability test and retest correlation coefficients were as follows: stages of change: 0.81, processes of change: 0.71-0.90, self-efficacy: 0.74-0.90, and scale of the decisional balance was: 0.81-0.93 respectively.
