Abstract

This paper proposed the design of an induction motor (IM) controller based on tensor product model transformation (TPMT) based method and sum of square (SOS) method. First, the quasi linear parameter-varying (qLPV) model of IM is transformed into convex combination of the matrices. Moreover, the extended signal is added to the TP model to implement reference signal tracking for the IM control. Secondly, the TPMT based parallel distributed compensation controller (TPDC) is designed with performance criterion constraint of polynomial form, instead of the commonly used linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, the TPDC simulation results for IM are given, and the effect of load torque and order of polynomials are discussed.
