Abstract

The helicity structure of mesonic Regge couplings is discussed in the context of meson pole dominance for the matrix elements of vector currents and of the energy-momentum tensor. Experimental tests of this helicity structure are proposed. The obtained couplings are incompatible with theU6W×O2Lz symmetic quark model, and they, therefore, rovide a guide towardU6W×O2Lz symmetry breaking. Universal couplings for higher-spin (J > 2) mesons are considered.
