Abstract

The tensile yield behavior of Fe–30Mn–3Al–3Si twining-induced plasticity steel was investigated in this paper. Only the annealed samples with medium grain sizes ranging from 1.6 to 22μm exhibited a yield-drop phenomenon. The reason for the occurrence of a yield-drop phenomenon is the reduction of dislocation density during tensile deformation.
