Abstract

In this research paper, the mechanical properties of additive manufactured metallic specimens of CuZn28 at different manufactured/printed orientations were studied and analysed. Different mechanical properties like maximum strength, yield point, and relative strain were investigated as per the MSZEN 6892-1:2012 standard. This is the Hungarian and European standard for the tensile test. We analysed whether different printing/manufacturing orientations in the selective laser sintering process had any effect on the strength of the printed metallic specimens. Also, we concluded which printed orientation specimen was the best and worst in terms of strength behaviour pattern by analysing key mechanical properties obtained during tensile tests of the specimens.
