Abstract

The tensile creep and creep rupture properties of beta-phase Zircaloy-2 are studied under vacuum in the temperature and stress range 1300–1550 K and 0.5–2 MN/m 2. The new results are compared with previously reported uniaxial and biaxial data. A small, but systematic difference is noted between the uniaxial and biaxial creep data and reasons for this discrepancy are discussed.
