Abstract

The amplitude of the Achilles tendon (T) reflex has been studied during a two-choice serial reaction task with increasing difficulty. With increase of the task difficulty an increase of the T reflex has been found. The result is interpreted as the resultant of two processes: increasing arousal caused by the changing task and decreasing arousal due to adaptation to the task situation
