Abstract

The article refers to the specific features of scientific and academic discourse and main tendencies of feminine innovations in modern German and Ukrainian scientific and academic texts, which update special knowledge in different areas of expertise. It has been established that in modern linguistics there is a tendency to close cooperation of different discourses types that conditions the rise of dynamic, intertextual relationships. Scientific and academic discourse that has its specific features which enable to identify it accurately (cognitive models and features of linguistic and social practices inherent to educational institutions) presents one example of pedagogical and scientific communication intersection that can function both alone and in close interconnection. It has been found that one of the innovations within the context of German feminization is orthographic selection of letter “I”, use of slash, asterisk, underscore character or colon in the middle of the word when address pedagogical, scientific pedagogical employees or applicants of opposite sexes. In the process of study, it has been found that the tendency to suffix creation of feminine nominees that is explained by developed gender category in the researched languages is specific for both languages. The names of women’s academic degrees, senior positions, nominations according to their professional activities are classified as the main feminitives thematic groups, which are the most common ones in German and Ukrainian scientific and academic discourses. It appears that modern Ukrainian language is characterized by the spectrum expansion of use of feminine nouns forms, which belong to the selected thematic groups, that is explained by a relatively recent new spelling adoption. It has been established that such tendencies of feminine innovations ensuring as use of pair addresses and complex words (composites) is specific for German scientific and academic discourse unlike Ukrainian one.
