Abstract

Author's summary.— After ten years of the functioning of plans for Undergraduate Study Abroad, it has been possible to gather some statistics of alumni distribution, and some thoughtful judgments of older alumni concerning the value of this experience. The former reveal certain trends; the latter bring into high relief certain “inestimable” values; and the two combined suggest an outstanding contribution of the “Junior Year Plan” to the field of language teaching.
