Abstract
Infrared color–magnitude diagrams are presented for variable M giants within the Two-Micron Sky Survey for which 10 μm dust emission was detected in IRAS low-resolution spectra. Dust emission is mostly limited to a definable region in absolute M Ks magnitude and (J − K s ) color, and to pulsation periods greater than 50 days.
