Abstract
This paper will analyze the impact that Andrea Alciato’s work called Emblematum Liber had, as a pioneer of a discourse that has been reproduced over time, either in the generation of new emblem books or in the discursive of the visual arts and even in the ways of structuring new educational and advertising works. Thereby its first editions will be reviewed, working on the changes that they suffered over time, in addition to various types of Modernity’s publications that resemble these artifices.
