Abstract

A 31-year-old woman was referred to physical therapy by her dentist for sharp pain in the right temporomandibular joint (TMJ) area. A week following the physical therapy examination, the magnetic resonance imaging previously ordered by the dentist was performed. The imaging and clinical findings met the diagnostic criteria for right anterior disc displacement without reduction and with limited mouth opening.
