Abstract
If a pattern requiring orientation discrimination was presented randomly in one of five clearly demarcated time frames 500 ms apart, orientation thresholds were elevated approximately 20% over their values when the time slot was fixed. For stereoscopic depth discrimination the disparity threshold elevation was approximately 40%.
