Abstract
Controlled hydrolysis of titanium n-butoxide is achieved using water molecules stepwise released from the pyrolysis of ammonium acetate and esterification of pyrolyzed acetic acid, allowing the formation of hollow TiO2 microspheres with high intactness during the subsequent Ostawald ripening process.
