Abstract
Using synchrotron radiation as a continuum light source, we have measured the absolute photoabsorption cross sections of OCS with a spectral bandwidth (FWHM) of 0.6 Å. The absorption cross sections of OCS have been measured from 2000 to 2600 Å at temperatures of 370, 295 and 170 K, respectively. Many hot bands are observed in the 2150–2600 Å region. Significant temperature effects on the absorption cross sections are clearly observed in the wavelength region longer than 2240 Å.
