Abstract
The dynamic response of domain walls to a step change in bias field both with and without an in‐plane field has been measured from −10 to 60°C in Sm0.4Y2.6Fe3.7Ga1.3O12, Eu0.6Y2.4Fe3.7Ga1.3O12 and Eu0.5Y2.35Yb0.15Fe3.8Ga1.2O12 garnet films. In addition, characteristic length, saturation magnetization, domain wall energy density, anisotropy field, and coercivity have been measured up to the Neel transition. Domain wall mobility was found to increase by a factor of two over this temperature range as expected theoretically. Wall mobility also increased by a factor of two upon application of an in‐plane field of 25 Oe. Over this temperature range the wall coercivity varied by an order of magnitude.
