Abstract

Temperature mapping technique is a useful tool for determining the treatment methods during thermal therapies. In contrast to other temperature monitoring methods, such as MRI and infrared imaging, ultrasonic thermal mapping benefit from its relatively low cost and portability. In addition, ultrasonic-based thermal mapping can be easily employed in current therapeutic systems without compatibility problems.
