Abstract

We have measured the energy dissipationQ due to Landau domain movement in two aluminium samples of different geometries after a sweep of an external field fromB a >B c toB a =0 at different temperatures. We found a time dependent heat releaseQαt −α with 1≤α≤2 depending on the sample geometry. The time dependence is independent of temperature and sweep rate. Our observations indicate that this relaxation might be due to quantum creep of Landau domains.
