Abstract

The article presents the results of experimental studies of heat transfer processes in small-sized areas heated by GIE, and analysis of the energy efficiency of using the latter for heating local working areas in large-sized industrial premises under conditions of mixed convection. Analysis of the results of the performed experiments gives grounds for the conclusion that the inflow of relatively cold air from the ventilation system operating in a typical range of air flow rate variation does not reduce the efficiency of the radiant heating system of the local working area based on a gas infrared emitter.
