Abstract

Hot rolling cogging can make full use of the high temperature plasticity of alloy, and it can provide large volumes of heavy strip. Besides, it has the characteristics of small deformation resistance and high productivity. Therefore more than 90 percent of copper and copper alloy strip in the world are produced by using hot rolling cogging. The paper presents details of simulation and analysis of 3500×980×200 specification copper strip hot rolling process. With the aid of the technology of finite element simulation, particular attention is paid to predict the temperature distribution and temperature history in each lane during the rolling process.
