Abstract

As demonstrated in the preceeding chapter secondary ions ejected from solids by fast heavy ion impact can be used as spectators of chemical and physical reactions at the surface, when these changes are induced by heating or cooling the sample. So far, a detailed explanation of the various effects reflected in the mass spectra as function of target temperature can not be given. The cluster series observed with Eu2O3 and Ice seem to be an interesting subject for further studies.KeywordsTarget TemperatureCluster SeriesSpike TemperatureStop DetectorHigh Energy RegimeThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
