Abstract

The paper presents a comparison between the experimental and theoretical distribution of temperature in wood during conventional and microwave heating. Theoretical models of temperature distribution, based on heat conduction, were established and compared with experimental data. The solutions of Fourier's heat conduction equations under adequate initial and boundary conditions properly describe experimental temperature distributions both in conventional and microwave heating.
