Abstract
Magnetic exchange splittings of cluster complexes Fe III 2M II have been observed directly using INS spectroscopy. With M Mn, Co, there is good agreement with an antiferromagnetic model involving a Heisenberg spin Hamiltonian; but the mixed-valence complexes (M Fe) show a strong band broadening with temperature.
