Abstract

Co-precipitated nanoparticles, with nominal composition SrFe12−x Cr x O19 (x = 0.0–0.3), were characterized for their structural and temperature-dependent electrical properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to analyze the crystallography of the samples. Structural parameters like crystal structure, phase purity, crystallite size, and lattice constants were estimated using XRD data. Scanning electron microscopy was used to analyze the surface morphology and particle size of the samples. Temperature-dependent ac electrical analysis was also done to study the effect of temperature and composition on the dielectric properties of the samples. Dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent, and ac electrical conductivity increased with increase in temperature as well as with Cr doping content at 1-MHz frequency.
