Abstract

Nano-sized Fe doped ZnO (Zn 1− x Fe x O where x = 0, 0.005, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04) powders were prepared by simple solution combustion method. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns of these samples showed the formation of single-phase wurtzite structure. The surface morphology of Fe doped ZnO nanoparticles were studied using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The DC electrical conductivity measurements were carried out in the temperature range 300–650 K and it was found to increase with increase of temperature. At room temperature, DC electrical conductivity was evidenced to decrease with increase of Fe content.
