Abstract
High temperature Raman spectra of nanocrystalline Bi 4Ti 3O 12 and bulk Bi 3.8Yb 0.2Ti 3O 12 have been investigated. The increase of the phase transition temperature with decreasing grain size in Bi 4Ti 3O 12 can be correlated with the effect of charge transfer in the BiOTi system.
