Abstract

The electric quadrupole tensors of Na 23 in NaD 3 (SeO 3 ) 2 are determined from the angular variation of the secornd-order quadrupole shifts above and below the ferroelectric transition temperature. The temperature variation of the shift below T c =-3^° C is proportional to the square of spontaneous polarization observed by pyroelectric measurement.
