Abstract

Abstract We describe the temperature dependence of relative permittivity (εr), mass density (ρ), refractive index (nD), and dynamic viscosity (η) of monofluorinated propylene carbonate (FPC) as a highly polar liquid. The physical properties are compared with those of propylene carbonate (PC). The value of εr of FPC is as large as 196 even at 20 °C. The ρ and η of FPC are also much higher than those of PC.
