Abstract

The effect of glass composition on the corrosion rate of refractories in barium borosilicate glasses was investigated earlier [I]. In this work we studied the temperature dependence of corrosion of melted-cast and sintered aluminosilicate refractories in melts of K8, BK8, and TKI4 barium borosilicate glasses. The melted-cast materials were represented by baddeleyite-corundum (BKCh-33) and corundum (K~L-95) refractories. The composition and properties of the sintered refractories* are shown in Table i.
