Abstract

An autocorrelation function of temperature derived from the hyperbolic heat-conduction equation is discussed using a Gaussian random process with an internal heat-generation source. As a result, the effect of relaxation time, related to finite high-speed propagation of a temperature wave in a solid, is analytically estimated and compared with the conventional parabolic heat conduction.
