Abstract

Plasmon waveguide resonance (PWR) sensor is an extension of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor, where temperature control has significant effect on the measurement reliability. In this article, a PWR sensing structure based on the composite dielectric layer was proposed, and the temperature correction mode was presented for the PWR sensors. The presented PWR sensor could be prepared with conventional film coating techniques, and its feasibility was demonstrated both theoretically and experimentally.
