Abstract
A temperature compensation technique for ring oscillators with tail current is proposed and analysed. Both proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) current source and constant current source are implemented to serve as the tail current. The constant current provides most of current for oscillation, and the PTAT current is for compensating the oscillator's temperature variation. The ring oscillator achieves high frequency-temperature stability.
