Abstract
An Intermediate Frequency (IF) Amplifier with temperature compensation has been designed for S-band Receiver of Indian Remote Sensing Satellite (IRS-1C). This paper briefly describes the various temperature effects in a field effect transistor, temperature characterisation of the IF amplifier without compensation, design of temperature compensation network and the test results of the amplifier with and without compensation.
