Abstract

We report new results on the dynamics of orientational correlations of molecules in highly concentrated aqueous solutions of Cu (NO 3) 2. We determined both single-particle and pair reorientational relaxation times of the nitrate ion as a function of concentration and temperature by coupled Raman and depolarized Rayleigh wing spectroscopy measurement. The ratio of relaxation times features a non-monotonic behavior at room temperature as a function of concentration; at high and low temperatures the anomaly disappears.
