Abstract

The aim of this work is to present a simple method to acquire temperature informationfrom an analog LM35 centigrade temperature sensor and to save the data in an online SQL (Structured Query Language) database. The paper will present all steps how the temperature logging is made using the LabVIEW programming environment. The analog signal acquisition from the temperature sensor is made using an NI USB-6251 acquisition system. The data is uploaded to online SQL database using the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) Post method. Because the temperature acquisition is used in a photovoltaic system, the logging of the temperature is done every 1 minute during daytime and every 15 minutes during the night. The temperature sensors are used to measure temperature at key parts of the photovoltaic system.
