Abstract

Postlarvae and juveniles of Macrobrachium rosenbergii were acclimated at six temperatures and used to test their preferred and optimum growth temperature. For both stages, final temperature preferendum using acute preferenda and ·optimum growth were in the range of 29 to 31°C. One site-selection requirement for cornmercial cultures ought to be that yearly water temperature variations do not exceed that range.
