Abstract

The study focused on the importance of teleworking and its significance to organisational continuous operation. After the COVID-19 pandemic, organisations struggled to survive due to a new paradigm shift in how workers operate to meet today’s dynamic and competitive environment. The current demand for work flexible, quick, and innovative approaches to work should be emphasised. The recent situation requires teleworking as one option for work flexibility. This study examined the effect of teleworking on employee performance at Blackdrum Advertising Agency. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design on a population of 121 staff of Blackdrum Advertising Agency. The technique applied to this study was a simple random sampling to support the administration of the research instrument. The study’s results revealed that teleworking significantly affects employee effectiveness, job satisfaction, and employee retention. Thus, the study recommended that Blackdrum Advertising Agency implement a remote work policy in some critical parts of its operation to get employees’ commitment and have the chance to balance their work and life due to the nature of their jobs.
