Abstract

A system for recording Fourier transform holograms on a television camera for use with an existing realtime reconstruction device is described. Measurements of the system's visibility, associated efficiency measurements, and a general procedure for determining the system's optimum operating point are presented. Initial off-line reconstructions and a comparison of various optical synthesis systems for television based Fourier transform holograms are included.
